It doesn't work like that. You have to mod your Wii for it to even read a burnt disc (soft mod or hard mod). Thats the risk you have to take if you want to be cheap. Sorry.

No…. ROM stands for "Read Only Memory"… Wii discs are read only which makes them ROMs. There is no piece of hardware in the world that is called a ROM. There are ROM chips which are pieces of hardware that hold read-only data.. but they are called "ROM chips" not ROMs.
You can get wii roms (or as they are more commonly called, ISOs) from www.wiiso.com. However, due to the size of the files (most are 4 gigs) you will not be able to find a single link download, there will be multiple parts for you to download which most people find extremely annoying (downloading 40+ files to get one game). But hey, if it annoys you just use torrents, it's not like they are any more legal then links on wiiso.com
